And I wanted eight pickles...the BIG announcement!

I asked for my favorite grilled cheese sandwich and wiped the drool from the side of my mouth...

"How much for some extra pickles?"

"Okay then, I'll take eight please."

My cravings were already beginning to spin out of control.

Hummus, butter & tomato sandwiches.

Grapefruits like no tomorrow.

Crackers with feta cheese.

Olives.

Anything with salt in it.

How many symptoms DOES it take for a woman to know she's expecting??

A lingering 'flu'

A desire to sleep the entire day

A propensity to tears....for no good reason!

It was about 3 weeks ago that we confirmed the amazing news:

WE ARE EXPECTING!!!

This was something that my husband and I had long had the desire for, and we are VERY excited!!!

  2. That is wonderful. I knew I was expecting my first when I missed my time of the month. I don't remember craving pickles, but a few are probably good for you. Thank you for sharing your blessing at "Tell Me a Story."

  6. How exciting!! Many congrats! :)

For me, I knew I was expecting simply by a missed cycle and being extra tired. I never had too many cravings until after the nausea stage was over. lol. Hope your pregnancy goes by smooth. Babies are such a blessing for sure. :)

When I saw your link on the Matrimonial Monday I somehow knew your news had to do with being pregnant. Think it was the big bowl of pickles that gave it away? ;)

  14. Oh how exciting!!!!! With my first it was because I was overdue. I felt fine. With my second I felt nauseous and tired all the time and my best friend kept saying "You're pregnant" and I kept snapping at her "I am NOT pregnant!" I threw up every other day for the first few months, lol!

With my third I took a pg test and it was negative (too early). But I told my husband "I am either pregnant or dying because I'm so sick." Lol! Congrats, I am so excited for you!

Thanks for linking up to the "Making Your Home Sing Monday" linky party today! :)

    1. Oh, that's funny! You're friend must have known you all too well then?? I knew with my third I was pregnant right away as well...but it wasn't until EIGHT tests later that it was confirmed :)

  15. Congrats! Mmm, pickles. Mine was sour cream. I would just add it to everthing that was sitting still long enough for me to scoop some one top. It was fantastic with cupcakes. lol
