~Teddy Bear Picnic! Or What To Do On A Stormy Eve~

Family Fun:
Impromptu Picnic

What do you do when you're locked in a house with three lil kiddies, and on a stormy night to boot??
Not to mention a local (albeit temporary) tornado watch...

I tried to think of something on the fly, and honestly, what came to my mind was this 'cutsie' lil fairy-tale-type-of-a-song from my own childhood.
I even remember getting out the large big record it was on, and playing it OVER & over as a child!
I realize I'm dating myself if I can remember record players :)

You Can Watch It Here:

The kids were getting a bit fearful about the storm watch.
As we drove home from visiting my mother's place, we watched dark rain clouds burst open with a heavy downpour. For the younger children, it was definitely scary!

Some blankets came out, bowls of healthy treats, a few drinks.
And of course our guests of honour:
the teddy bears came marching down with much anticipation.

We had our lil 'teddy bear picnic' and the night was salvaged :)

Impromptu plans are often the best AND most memorable!

  1. Impromptu plans are the best! Kids don't need much to be happy. Just a little time (of ours) and some sunshine. So fun!!
